Second Summit didn’t start as a business idea. It started with years of running trails, climbing routes, ski mornings, and long days outside. This was where the realization that most gear doesn’t need to be brand new to do something meaningful came.
After seeing closets full of barely-used equipment and the chaos of trying to sell it online, it became clear there had to be a better way. Not a bigger store. Just a smarter system.
What we're building
Second Summit is a consignment shop focused on outdoor gear and sustainability. We research it, price it clearly, and make it easy to buy and sell without the friction.
The goal is simple: keep good gear moving, lower the barrier to getting outside, and create a space where outdoor people in San Francisco can pass things forward.
Adventure shouldn’t be limited by budget and good gear shouldn’t sit unused.
